Best of SLTED 2022
Across the world, children, teenagers and adults learn foreign languages as part of their school curriculum, work commitments or leisure activities with the expectation that this experience will help them grow as global citizens. Their success at language learning hinges on the competences of professional teachers. It is therefore crucial to achieve a research-based understanding of the knowledge base(s) needed by language teachers as well as their processes of becoming and continuously developing as teachers. This conference aims to bring together researchers into language teacher education from all over the world to share their research and engage in lively and fruitful discussions. It combines inspiring keynotes and invited symposia on special issues as well as presentations and posters by teacher educators and researchers. We welcome contributions from new and experienced language teacher educators and researchers on any aspect of language teacher education. We look forward to hearing about research taking place in diverse types of pre- and in-service language teacher education and focusing on any target language. The conference language is English.
