Getting around Vienna
Public Transport
Vienna has an efficient public transport system.
You can purchase tickets at the ticket machines in Vienna or online.
The 72-hour Vienna ticket (€17.10) is an economical way of getting around Vienna.
For those who plan to do some sightseeing while they are in Vienna, the Vienna Card (€29.00) might be the right choice. It is also valid for 72 hours and entitles you to reduced rates when visiting museums and exhibitions, etc. You can buy the Vienna Card at the airport, in most hotels or order it online.
By Bike / On Foot
Vienna has an extensive network of cycle paths. Then again, it is especially beautiful when explored on foot.
In addition to various bike rental companies, there are also city bike stations located throughout the city. For more information on the city bikes click here.
As most of the sights in Vienna are close to the venue in the city centre, it is also a great idea to explore the city on foot.
